Our History

Timber Pro Logging was formed in 2006 with a primary focus of providing mechanical logging services to the Grande Prairie and surrounding area. At our beginning, we were a small forestry company working closely with a handful of other local businesses in the forestry and hauling sector.

In 2017, Timber Pro expanded its operations to include Murtron Hauling. Both companies had seamlessly worked together for many years where Timber Pro Logging performed the log harvesting and Murtron Hauling would look after hauling the logs to the various mill sites. It was a natural transition for both our people and our clients.

After the addition of Murtron Hauling, we further expanded our hauling capacity through the purchase of a second hauling company, TKS Transport that also specializes in hauling logs and gravel.

Our latest expansion in 2017 saw us put together a full service Earthworks division with experienced managers, supervisors and operators to meet the needs of our growing customer base.  We have a fleet of dirt construction equipment that includes cats, excavators, packers, motor scrapers, rock trucks and graders.

Leadership

The 3 founding shareholders have an average of 36 years in the logging, log haul, trucking and building site construction.  The 3 Construction managers have an average of 29 years in managing construction projects including oil & gas lease building, industrial building sites, and road construction.

Combined with an experienced and dedicated workforce, Timber Pro is able to commit to on-time delivery of services to customer specifications.

At Timber Pro Logging, we have built our reputation on a foundation of core values that include safety, quality, and production. Our safety program has been developed with one goal in mind: to provide a safe working environment for everyone involved in any project. It is our highest priority to return all our people safely to their families after each day.

Our Safety and Management team have years of experience and is committed to supporting our employees in consistently implementing our strong safety program. Through an intensive orientation and training process our people learn the importance of safety and how it always matters.

Safety is a way of life at Timber Pro Logging Ltd. We have exceeded the requirements of the Alberta Forest Product Association’s Certificate of Recognition (COR) and maintain a Satisfactory Audited Safety Fitness Certificate with Alberta Transportation.
